Newly-launched domestic airline Serene $50 million jet grounded after accident

KARACHI: Newly-launched domestic airline Serene $50 million jet grounded after accident.

Domestic airline, Serene Air‘s Boeing 737-800 jet was hit by a vehicle of Islamabad Ground Crew (Royal Airport Services. As a result its body damage t Islamabad’s Benazir International Airport upon arrival from Karachi.

“A few immediate flights have been cancelled due to the incident,” Serene Air spokesperson told.

It may take a week to get Serene $50 million plane repaired and bring back into the operations, Serene Air spokesperson further added.

Serene Air started it’s flight operations on January 29/2017, however a license was granted by the Civil Aviation Authority in October 2016.

It is the 4th domestic operational airline in Pakistan including PIA, Shaheen Air and Airblue.
